Good Morning, Friends and Neighbors!
Welcome to those of you who signed up last night at the Beer Garden, and thanks to all who stopped by to say hello. A few bits and bobs for you as we cruise into the weekend.
Share Your Kindness With Burlington Residents in Need
As the summer (sadly!) draws to a close, People Helping People, Burlington’s food pantry, is starting to think about the holiday season. PHP provides weekly food deliveries to homeless families in Burlington, as well as providing Thanksgiving meals and holiday gifts via the Wish Tree. They are running low on many items and could use anything you can provide, including beans, cereal, and kids’ snacks.
For more information on People Helping People, you can visit their website or listen to the Buzz’s podcast episode featuring Pantry manager, Julie Lewis, from last spring. The donation center is open daily from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Here’s a running list of organizations in Burlington that aid people in need.

Sports and Activities
The Volleyball team hosted Watertown yesterday, and the JV and varsity teams came out on top. Varsity went 3-0, bringing their record to 6-0.
Lady Devils soccer looked good too with varsity coming out 5-2 over Watertown. Their record is now 3-2.
More golf today, this time against Woburn at the Billerica Country Club at 3:30. We’ve got more volleyball, too, as our girls play at Wayland. Freshman and JV teams play at 4:00, while varsity plays at 5:30.
Also on the schedule is field hockey against Melrose. The calendar says both MSMS and BHS, so it’s not clear where the game will be played, but the varsity game will begin at 4:15 and JV will play at 5:30.
Our freshman soccer teams take on Melrose today, too, with girls traveling and boys hosting at Rahanis Park. Both games are at 4:15.
Finally, Cambridge Rindge & Latin will be coming to Burlington for a varsity football matchup at 6:00.
On the calendar for tomorrow is a JV football game at Cambridge Rindge & Latin and a varsity boys soccer game in Wakefield, both at 10:00.
