Usually there’s not much to report on a Friday, but today there is a lot to know!

Celebrating Local Businesess

First, join the Buzz in celebrating two of our local businesses, which were named  Best of North Shore by Northshore Magazine! Common Craft was chosen as the Editor’s Choice for After-Work Drinks, and Made in Burlington was the Editor’s Choice for Handcrafted Gifts! Both of these businesses have worked hard to contribute to our community, and they deserve all the congratulations in the world!

Call for Artists

Also, the town is calling on local artits to create a postcard mural for the side of the 202 Cambridge Street building facing the newly-named Community Corner pocket park. Read more below.

Library Fundraiser

Please visit The Chateau Restaurant on August 15 for lunch, dinner, or takeout. Just ask your server to flag your check for the Friends’ Fundriser or leave the note “FUNDRAISER Friends of BPL” on your online order to participate, and a portion of your ticket will go toward our wonderful public library.

Celebrate Burlington With the Buzz and Thousands of Your Closest Friends!

Celebrate Burlington Day is the largest event held on the common each year, with around 8,000 visitors stopping by to enjoy the food and festivities. The weather looks to be very nice, and a wonderful time is sure to be had by all. Be sure to stop by and say hi!

The event will be followed by a classic car show, a concert, and fireworks!

  • 11:00 AM-1:45 PM - Afternoon Off Doll Club at the library
  • 11:00 AM-4:00 PM - Celebrate Burlington with Burlington Buzz and dozens of other community organizations on the Common! The event will culminate with a fireworks show! (Rain date Sunday, August 6)
  • 5:00-8:00 PM - Live Music on The Green at 3rd Ave
  • 5:00-7:00 PM - Keep the fun going with the classic car show on the Common
  • 7:00 PM - Concert on the Common
  • 9:00 PM Fireworks!
