Daily Buzz | Can't-Miss February Break Activities for All Ages
And, give a little to get a little
Good Morning, Burlington!
Quick correction from yesterday: the correct email to reach out to the state regarding the Winn View Heights II public comment is Rieko.hayashi@state.ma.us. Sorry for the confusion!
Today is the last day to return nomination papers and “I Voted” sticker entries. Town Hall closes at 1:00, so be sure to head to the Town Clerk’s office before then!
This evening, Common Craft will be hosting a welcome party for their newest brewery, Zero Gravity, which brings with it the only full-service dining room in the popular food hall. See the schedule below for more info!
Give a Little, Get a Little
Do you love a good twofer? You know, where you do one good thing and get two positive outcomes? Then take a look at Burlington Womenade’s March Calendar Raffle. Here’s how it works. You send $20 per ticket to this nonprofit, which helps Burlington families in need, and you’ll get 31 chances to win one of the amazing prizes offered by their sponsors. All the while, you’ll be helping build up Womenade’s emergency fund so they can help families with immediate needs such as displacements, emergency personal needs, and more.
Venmo $20 to @Burlington-Womenade or purchase tickets with your credit card on www.burlingtonMAwomenade.com, and check the Womenade Facebook page throughout the month of March to see if you’re a winner!

Like Frederick Douglass taught us, there is power in representation. Too often, we are measured by our suffering. Blackness must not be defined by our brutalization. We are more than death. When we are depicted by our extremes, the truth of us is lost. We live, fully. Our joy, our dreams, our everyday stories? That's a beautiful resistance.” (Museum of Science, Boston)
Saturday, February 17
- 2:00-4:00 - Black History Month Paint Workshop sponsored by North Shore Juneteenth Association. Paint the Juneteenth flag, learn about the history of the holiday and about a Black American artist. Lunch is included! (Lynn Arts; registration link is broken, but if interested give them a call!)
