Daily Buzz | Burlington Woman Named to Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Massachusetts Executive Committee
Also, Town offices closed today
Good Morning, Burlington!
Guess who didn’t wake up at 5am and write the Buzz today? But that’s okay! Because it is a quiet day here in Burlington.
First, I want to share that Buzz supporter and local multi-business rockstar, Susan Kadilak, has been named Vice-President/Secretary/Treasurer of the Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Massachusetts. That’s a mouthful of a title, but it also speaks to Susan’s multipotentiality. Super congratulations to Susan! Read more below.
I also want to let you know about the 7th Grade Project Explore at Shawsheen Tech. Registration is open for this free after-school program, which for Burlington students will run Tuesdays and Thursdays from January 31-February 16. This is a great opportunity for middle-school students to learn about a handful of the different majors offered at the Tech. Transportation will be provided. Read all about it right here! ⬇
Made in Burlington Winter Marketplace This Weekend
The Made in Burlington Winter Marketplace is happening this weekend at Wayside, featuring some of our best local creators. I will be there with Buzz merchandise, Scarlet Lends a Helping Hoof books, and some more goodies. Hope to see you there!

Today in Burlington
Not much is going on here, as the town is closed for the holiday. However, if you leave right now, you can make it to the Common in time for the Veterans Day Ceremony, which will be happening in the Veterans’ Area (where all the flag poles and veteran memorials are).
- Town Offices Closed for Veterans’ Day
- No School
- 10:00 AM - Veterans Day Ceremony on the Town Common at the Veterans’ Area

Score Update
Burlington Football lost against Newburyport last night in a high-scoring game on Varsity Field. Final score was 42-28. The next (and only) game on the calendar for our Varsity football players is on Thanksgiving Day!
Today’s Schedule
Freshman boys are scheduled to play Wakefield at home today at 10:00. Like the Veterans Day Ceremony, if you leave right now, you might make it.
Friday Funny
I hope by now you’re feeling recovered from the human torture that is the Daylight Savings toggle. But I couldn’t resist a little Nick Offerman.
Have a great Friday, friends.
