Daily Buzz | Burlington Seeking Recreation Program Coordinator

Hello, Neighbor!

I spent yesterday evening with the Democratic Town Committee and PowerUp 01945 co-founders Megan Sweeney and Jenn Schaeffner learning about how their grassroots efforts have increased civic engagement and voter turnout since 2021. It was great to hear about the different approaches they used and, while Marblehead is very different from Burlington, many ideas they shared were universal. I can’t wait to see how we can continue motivating Burlington residents to have their voice heard, to run for office, and to vote in local elections.

The Recreation Commission shared at their meeting yesterday evening that long-time program coordinator, Jessie Hampson, will be moving on to a position in Billerica. The Commission wished her the best and announced that her last day will be this Friday.
