Daily Buzz | Burlington Players Present Their Fall Show
Also, be sure storm drains are clear to prevent problems this winter
Hello, Neighbor!
I hope everyone got to bed at a reasonable time last night and no one got too scared! Baby Buzz lasted 3 houses before he got irritated with his costume and just went trick-or-treating as whatever character was on his pajama shirt. That’s the way it goes!
While we were out, I noticed lots of storm drains covered with leaves. When you’re doing your yardwork, or tell your landscapers if you hire a company for your fall cleanup: Please do your street a favor and remove leaves from near storm drains as well. This will help avoid flooding in the case of heavy rains or when the snow comes later in the season and begins to melt.
Burlington Players Present Their Fall Show
Many Buzz readers attended—and loved!—Ripcord this September. The Burlington Players are excited to announce their newest show, Midnight and Moll Flanders, by Marie Kohler!
The adaptation of Daniel Defoe’s 18th-century novel centers on Moll Flanders and the preacher who has come on the eve of her execution at London’s Newgate Prison to offer her a chance at salvation. From the playwright’s website, Moll “explores the influence of gender, class, free will and circumstance in an era as fiercely entrepreneurial as ours.”
This promises to be a poignant and entertaining show, and it opens tomorrow! Shows run from November 3rd through the 18th at the Players’ home in Overlook Park, 1 Edgemere Ave., in Burlington. Showtime on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays is 8:00, and the Sunday matinee shows at 2:00.
