Daily Buzz | Burlington One Step Away from Glory in Library Minute Madness
Plus, get tickets to a comedy show this weekend
Good Morning, Burlington!
Today is the last day for early in-person voting. Be sure you’re informed, and then head down to Town Hall today (8:30-1:00) or to BHS tomorrow (8AM-8PM) to cast your vote. We typically have about 16% turnout for local elections, and our town deserves better. Voting will take five minutes of your time and send the message that your community matters to you.
I wanted to highlight two events today:
First, this Sunday, April 2, at 6:00, there will be a comedy show to benefit the SDC Dream Team dance company, who are performing at Universal Studios in June! Tickets are just $25, and the show will feature 3 comedians, a cash bar, and a 50/50 raffle. These dancers are pretty amazing, and the show looks like fun. I hope you can make it!
The show will be held at Giggles Comedy Club in Saugus, and you can learn more here!
Also, I know you’re at the edge of your seat waiting for an update about Burlington Public Library’s Minute Madness tournament. We have defeated reigning champs Georgetown and are now in the finals against Tewksbury! Log your minutes reading or listening between now and April 5 so we can blow our almost-neighbor out of the water!

Sports and Activities
Boys’ and girls’ tennis teams had their first match of the year against Wilmington last night, and unfortunately both teams lost—1-4 and 0-5, respectively.
The boys’ volleyball season starts in earnest today as they host Billerica; JV plays at 4:00 and Varsity at 5:30.
There are two Varsity Boys’ Lacrosse games on the calendar today, but I can’t imagine them both happening. If you know Lacrosse things, let me know which of these is accurate:
- 4:30 at Concord-Carlisle
- 5:30 at home against Medway
Friday Funny
Me every single night after getting up at 5AM to write the Buzz.
That’s all I’ve got for you today. I hope you have a good one. GO VOTE!
