Daily Buzz | Beer Gardens and Library Events

Good Morning!

I’m writing you from the airport and on very little sleep…so excuse the brevity and any typos, or anything else that just doesn’t make a lot of sense. It’s early. It’s been a long week.

Library Events

There are a lot of cool things coming up at the Library, which I wanted to highlight here. Check their calendar, too - it’s always jam-packed with opportunities for folks of any age to engage.

Beer Gardens

In addition to the library, you can also take comfort in knowing that Beer Gardens will be officially starting next week, September 8. They’ll take place at the Pocket Park between Sweet Ginger and Coldwell Banker in the Town Center. This pocket park does have an official name, which was announced, and I’m blanking on it at the moment.

At any rate, the family- and dog-friendly Beer Gardens will occur from 4:30-8:30 and will feature a different award-winning local brewery each time. First up: Exhibit A from Framingham, maker of Hair Raiser, among other not-at-all-inferior-because-they’re-not-double-IPA beers.

Proceeds from the sale of beer will benefit People Helping People, Burlington’s food pantry. This event is one of many planned by the Economic Development Office as “part of Burlington’s ‘placemaking’ effort which is a people-centered approach to the planning, design, and use of public spaces. Through a collaborative process, do-able improvements are identified and implemented that bring immediate benefits to the people who use these spaces.”

Today in Burlington

The only thing on the town calendar today is voting! Make sure you vote! At this point, we’ve passed the day when the USPS said you should send in your mail-in ballots, but early in-person is still available today from 8:30-4:30 and tomorrow from 8:30-5.

That’s it for today! See you tomorrow!
