Clinical Study Offers $100 to Burlington Residents
Individuals who consume no cannabis and fewer than five drinks per week can participate
Burlington-based medical research company, Skylight Health, is offering a $100 prepaid debit card to participants in a clinical study.
There is no specific objective outlined for this study. “…Researchers are always trying to find new ways to detect, treat, prevent, and cure health problems,” says CEO, Alisha Garibaldi. “These efforts require the collection and use of biological samples from many people.”
The study involves two visits: one 10-minute visit for consent and to pick up supplies (urine cup), and a second to drop off the urine sample and complete a blood draw. These visits can happen a couple of days apart, but the urine and blood must be collected fasting and happen on the same day. Study participants are compensated $100 on a prepaid debit card once they complete the second visit.
Eligible participants must:
- not use cannabis (and haven’t for the last year)
- drink fewer than 5 drinks per week
- be between the ages of 20 and 25
- have a BMI lower than 35
