Good Morning, Burlington!
If you’re walking around the house wondering why your phone and your oven clock don’t match, it’s because the clocks sprang forward last night. Take a moment today to fix up all the manual clocks in your house (like the one on your thermostat)—unless you’re one of those rebels who leaves them until they’re correct again in November!
In addition to budget season being in full swing, lots is happening this week in Burlington, including the beginning of Ramadan tonight and St. Patrick’s day next Sunday. If you’ve got stories to share about how you celebrate these or any other holidays, let us know and be featured in Community Celebrations!
Speaking of St. Paddy’s Day, taste the flavors of Ireland this Wednesday or Friday at lunchtime courtesy of Shawsheen culinary and hospitality students. Enjoy traditional St. Paddy’s flavors like corned beef, lamb stew, or a smoked turkey Reuben at a very reasonable price for dine-in or takeout. Ask Your Candidates - Submit Debate Questions to the Buzz
The local election is coming up on April 6, and there are many opportunities to hear from your candidates before then. There will be candidate forums (which the Buzz will let you know about!), interviews, and debates to help you learn more about your candidates—especially those for the contested Select Board, School Committee, and Housing Authority races—and make an informed decision at the polls.
This Tuesday, BCAT will be recording the first of the debates, and Buzz founder, Nicci, will be one of the panelists. We have some questions prepared, but we’d love to know what you want to hear from your candidates, as well. What do you want to hear about from candidates for the Town Moderator, Select Board, School Committee, and Housing Authority races? Reply to this email or send a message to hello@burlington.buzz, and we’ll review and use as many questions as we can!
And while you’re thinking about that, Hive members can listen to our interviews with Town Moderator candidates Bill Beyer and Adam Senesi.

Sports and Activities
Student athletes are resting from the winter season and gearing up for spring. Tryouts and practices will start next week, and contests will begin the week after.
Burlington High School’s DevilBotz robotics team has finished getting their robot ready for competition, and they’ll be heading to regional competitions next week and the week after. The 16th and 17th they’ll be at the Reading Memorial High School Field House, and the following weekend they’ll be at the high school in Revere, showing how this year’s creation measures up in a series of music-related tasks. These events are free and open to all, so come out and show your support to our Robotics Team!
That’s all for today, neighbors. Have a lovely Sunday and we’ll see you tomorrow!
Nicci
